It's time to break out the gardening gloves and pruning shears because the HOA is excited to announce our upcoming "Yard of the Month" contest!
We want to give all residents a chance to show off their hard work and beautiful yards.
Entering the contest is easy! If your account is in good standing, simply submit a photo (or photos) of your entire front yard through the Contact page on our website. Don't forget to select the "Board of Directors" option for "Who to Contact".
All residents that are in good standing are eligible to participate, so whether you're a seasoned green thumb or just starting out, we encourage you to join in on the fun.
The CCHOA has been divided into six neighborhoods:
1. The Meadows (east side of AW Grimes – Pool/Park neighborhood)
2. Lantana neighborhood (west side of AW Grimes/south of Tiger Trail)
3. Chandler Creek neighborhood on north side of Tiger Trail
4. The Villages (north side of Chandler Creek Blvd)
5. The Villages (south side of Chandler Creek Blvd)
6. Chandler Creek neighborhood on south side of Old Settlers Blvd
The contest will run during the months of April, May, and June. All entries must be submitted by 5:00 pm on the 20th of the scheduled month, and the winners will be announced by the end of that month. Each of the six neighborhoods in Chandler Creek will have one winner per scheduled month.
If your yard is selected as the winner, you will receive a $50 gift card. Additionally, a "Yard of the Month" sign will be placed in your yard for two weeks. We'll be judging the yards based on the following criteria:
Healthy lawn with minimal weeds, neatly mowed and edged;
Shrubs/trees pruned & trimmed to maintain shape;
Healthy plants & minimal weeds in landscaped beds;
No plastic or artificial plants in landscaped beds;
Yard is free of clutter & debris;
Use of color and/or texture; and,
Overall aesthetic curb appeal that is in balance with the size of the home.
By entering the contest, you agree to have your photos and address posted on the HOA's website. We'll be sending out a confirmation email to all entrants, so keep an eye out for that.
